Residency Applications
PGY-1 applicants
Our residency training program take PGY I applicants through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants may obtain information about the NRMP by visiting its website. Applicants going through the Match use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
PGY-2 and higher
Applicants who have completed a PGY I year or more of a residency may apply for a position by calling (601) 984-5826 and requesting an application, or fax their CV with a request for an application to (601) 984-5885.
Residency eligibility criteria
The following criteria will be considered when determining your eligibility for our program:
- Must be ECFMG certified
- USMLE Step I: within 2 attempts
- USMLE Step II CK: within 2 attempts
- COMLEX I or II (Accepted in lieu of Step exams for Doctor of Osteopathy)
- Year of graduation within last 10 years
- We sponsor J1 visa only
- We prefer 2 years U.S. clinical experience
- We also prefer experience and interest in Psychiatry (observerships do count)
- 3 letters of recommendation (written within the last 2 years)
We accept applications through ERAS only and interviews and conducted in November through January.
